Prize Winning Chili

Ingredients:
2 1/2 lb lean ground chuck
1 lb lean ground pork
1 c finely chopped onion
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 12 oz. can beer
8 oz Hunt's tomato sauce
1 c water
3 T chili powder
2 T ground cumin
2 T Wyler's beef bouillon cubes (or 6 cubes)
2 t oregano leaves
2 t paprika
2 t sugar
1 t unsweetened cocoa
1/2 t ground coriander
1/2 t Louisiana hot sauce
1 t flour
1 t cornmeal
1 T warm water

In large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown half the meat then pour off the fat.
Remove meat and brown the remaining meat. Pour off all fat except 2 tbsps.
Add the onion and garlic. Cook and stir until tender.
Add meat and remaining ingredients except flour, cornmeal and warm water. Mix well.
Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer covered 2 hours.
Stir together flour and cornmeal. Add warm water. Mix well. Stir into chili mixture. Cook covered
20 minutes longer. Serve hot.
Makes about 2 quarts.
