Garlic Should Be In Every Cupboard
When I say garlic should be in every cupboard, I don't mean to ward
off vampires :) By now you've probably heard of the benefits of taking garlic supplements, which is fine, but I
prefer to get my garlic from my food. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, almost every food should have garlic on
it.
Garlic has long been a staple in the diets of many people around
the world. There are always people attempting to find new ways to incorporate garlic into their diet. Because of
this, there are now entire cookbooks devoted to cooking with garlic. Personally, I don't see what's so hard about
it. I put garlic on my steaks, chicken and pork, and of course it goes well in sauces, soups and salad
dressings.
Here's just a few quick ideas to enjoy a little garlic in your
diet: Baked Garlic, Garlic Popcorn, Skordalia,Garlic Roasted Pumpkin Seeds or Almonds, Garlic Spring Rolls, Garlic
Soup. You should be able to do an internet search to find some ideas for those, or just get creative yourself.
These appetizers are more fun when they are enjoyed with friends or family.
While the advent of garlic appetizers may seem like a given, there
are other applications that are not so obvious. Can you believe there are even some recipes that feature garlic as
a dessert? For example, garlic ice cream?
We have all probably had our share of garlic bread with some
Italian dishes. And of course garlic is a mainstay in a lot of other ethnic dishes such as Indian, Chinese and
Mexican foods. Of couse, garlic is also very popular in a lot of vegetarian diets.
So isn't it about time to order some garlic pizza, or have nice
garlic lover’s steak? Don’t forget the garlic mashed potatoes on the side. :) Just make sure whoever is with you
eats some garlic, too!
